FAQ

What is the zine about?
This is a collection of romantic and platonic fanworks centered on the Haikyuu characters Tsukishima Kei and Kageyama Tobio. Both AUs and canon-compliant works will be featured.

The zine contents will be SFW and there's no central theme assigned, which mean each contributor has full creative freedom over their pieces as long as they follow our guidelines.

Who can apply as a contributor?
At the moment, we're looking for artists, writers and digital merch artists. Writers will also be able to offer their help as beta readers.

Contributors will be asked to share some of their works during the application process. Please note that while TsukiKage-centric content is not mandatory for your application, it is preferred. A tumblr, twitter or discord account is not required to apply, but we ask that all contributors have a valid email address for communication. Previous experience in zines is not required, but feel free to mention if you have experience in the comment section of your application.

How many contributors are you planning on accepting?
Tentatively, we plan to feature 24 artists, 10 writers and 4 digital merch artists, but this could be subject to change depending on the number of applications we receive.

Can I edit my application after I submit it?
Yes, you're allowed to edit your application after you submit! To do so, please follow the link in the confirmation email you received after filling out the form for the first time. We request that applicants refrain for sending duplicate applications.
Please note that applicants won't be able to edit their responses after the application period has closed.

How do I know if I have been accepted? Will I get feedback on reasons for rejection if I’m not accepted?
We will send emails to all applicants to inform them whether they have been accepted or not. Regarding feedback, since our team is very small, we might not be able to give feedback to everyone. Unfortunately, as the number of spaces is limited, we can’t accept every applicant, so we hope you do not take it personally if we are unable to offer you a spot. Whether you are accepted or not is not a reflection of the quality of your work.

What is the rating of this zine?
All content in the zine will be SFW!

Are spoilers allowed?
Yes! We will allow fanworks with spoilers. However, contributors will have to inform that their work contains spoilers so we can plan the PDF accordingly.

Can I apply as a writer and an artist?
Yes, but keep in mind that while you'll be considered for both positions, you may only be accepted for one position!

Are traditional artworks acceptable?
Yes, we will accept traditional works as long as you can provide a clean scan with a resolution of at least 300dpi for your final submission.

Are we allowed to post/preview our work?
Throughout the duration of the project, contributors must not share, post or publish the full piece they’re doing for the zine. We also request that contributors refrain from sharing drafts of the piece during the creation process. We will allot a period for previews right before the zine release, contributors will be notified about the specific dates at a further time.

No physical zine?
This project is planned as a digital art and fic zine. We currently don’t have the means to ensure physical zines for contributors and would prefer to not promise what we can’t deliver.
